Hi my sewing and crafty friends! 🙂
I’d like to show you how to create your own illustrated fabric with your sewing machine today.
My sister sent me this cute sea themed linen (botton of the pouch) from Japan. I have kept thinking the perfect way to use this eye-candy and finally came up with this zip pouch.
Yes, I am very poud of my idea and can’t wait to show my creation to my sister. 🙂
If you have any fabric that you don’t know how to match with, I hope my idea would be helpful.
1.First, cut the 2 pieces of fabric as the size you want. Sew neutral color linen with your illustrated linen together.
Draw the same image with the fabric on the paper, a littler bigger size. Cut out and use as a templete. Trace the paper on the linen using erasable pen.
2.As same way, do the back side too.
3.Sew along the drawing. If you are not comfortable with sewing machine, hand stitch would beautifully work.
4.Color with acrylic paint. Iron the back side and then no worry to fade out when wash it.
Happy sewing and thanks for stopping by!

certainly like your web site however you have to test the spelling on several of your posts.
A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very bothersome
to inform the truth then again I will definitely come again again.
Wow, this paragraph is good, my sister is analyzing such things, therefore
I am going to tell her.
You might be sensation a fantastic deal of pressure to adapt to the requirements or needs of other people.
Listen to what other people say before telling them what
you’re considering too.
what sewing machine foot do you use to “draw” on the fabric? i’m thinking it’s a darning/quilting foot? you make the most amazing things!
I LOVE this idea ! thank you so much for sharing it. No need to try to match two fabrics, and it gives a lighter result with the plain fabric and it’s drawings. Thanks for the tip to iron the acrylic paint. Your pouch is beautiful !!!
Hi Yvette!
