Are you a saver like me? I save almost every fabric scraps no matter how small they are. I also keep itty bitty scrapbook paper pieces. Washi tape, bakers twine, all kinds of ribbon and oh, don’t forget the buttons. I am in love with anything colorful and shinny. Therefore, organize is alway my number one mission. I will talk about craft room organization next time. I have so many sorting ideas yet hardly find time to keep on. 🙂
Today’s tutorial is fabric envelop using Pellon fusible interfacing.
Step1.
I used the regular card envelop as a template. Cut Pellon fusible interfacing as *0.5inch bigger shape of envelop and position fabric scraps on top of it.
If you don’t enjoy “fabric puzzle”, just use one piece of fabric. It will make your life a lot easier. *wink*
Step2.
Iron and trim it.
Step3.
With sewing machine, zigzag stitch every ends. The picture is the back side when you finish sewing.
Step4.
Prepare same size of inside cotton. Put right side together, and sew leaving a hole to reverse.
Step5.
Fold as envelop shape and stitch by hand.
Step6.
Decorate with button and attach Sew-on snaps button where the envelop close.
With the same way, I made tea mat too.
When I am run of any creative idea, I enjoy making these “time consuming project”. It is magical when your hands are busy, your brains get creative eventually.
It is hard to express how much it means to me that you are here. Thank you for visiting me today.

Scrappy Girls Club on Facebook posted your link today! Great idea. Do you remember which Pellon # the product was? One sided fusible? Heavy weight or lightweight? I make cards, and making an envelope to fit is sometimes the last thing I think of. Now it will be the first!
