IMG_0538This is a very simple card to make that you could give to a teacher at the end of the school year. Just follow these four simple steps.

Step 1: Gather your supplies.

Here is everything you need. The popsicle stick pencil could not be easier to make. Who would think to make a pencil out of a popsicle stick? Isn’t it a great idea?

Step 2. Write your message on white card stock.

No need to even buy a stamp for your message. Just write it yourself and it will be uniquely yours.

Step 3. Cut your popsicle stick into the shape of a pencil and paint.

You can make two pencils out of one stick (which makes it even cuter). Paint the body of the pencil yellow and the eraser any reddish-brown color you have. Wrap the silver thread around the stick to make the the metal eraser holder. Use double-sided tape to secure the thread on the backside. Use a black Sharpie to draw the pencils details, as shown.

Trace your lettering with a black Sharpie and arrange your pencils however you want and secure with double-sided tape.

This gives you a perfect excuse to go buy popsicles!
